Sheelagh and Martin 11th April 2020

It was with great sadness that I heard about the death of your dear father 'Uncle Jack' to me. It is a particularly sad and difficult time with the restrictions imposed on everyone at the moment and which prevents people being able to come together for the funeral of a loved one. I can't begin to imagine how that makes you feel. Please be assured that you, the rest of the family and of course Aunty Joan and your dear father have been in my thoughts and prayers and will be with you in spirit at his funeral. I have lovely memories of you all from when we were children, from Boxing Day family celebrations in Bromley to visits to Maidenhead and table tennis tournaments in the garden and before that when you lived in Kent ( I forget the name of the town ) The memories of your Dad include all his electronic devices and his great love of them. He was such a lovely man and so proud of all of his family. I know in recent years life has been difficult health wise and particularly with your Mum but he did have a long and fulfilled life which must be of some comfort to you. Of course he has also left a wonderful legacy in you and your siblings and his grandchildren. There was something about his generation as with my Mum and Dad that gave them good, long lives that enabled us to share such a long part of our lives with them, and which we thank God for. Please pass on my and Martin's condolences to your Mum and Stephen, Pauline and Susie. In love and prayers Sheelagh and Martin xxxx
