My memories of Jack stretch back to happy childhood days first when he and my sister and myself wandered through the park in Bolton and enjoyed family parties at Christmas with entertainment provided by Jack’s father and uncle. A year or two later we roamed around the fields at Benfield, played hide and seek in the wood, visited the hens and collected fruit. It was a highlight when Jack came to stay with us. My most recent memory is of a visit to Highcliffe twelve months ago enjoying his humour and observing his devotion to Joan. In the years between, though I saw little of him, I was aware that he had a full and good life which others can tell about. Cousin Margaret
