Farewell Jacky Boy ! I first met my Aunty Joan, Jack and cousins in 1982 when I was just a 22 year old from Australia on a mission to meet my father's family on the other side of the world for the first time. When I arrived to Maidenhead I never wanted to leave - the memories of Jacky Boy on that the first trip and a couple others in later years are indebily etched in my heart. He was always up for a great chat, a run around the streets, loved a good meal with a drop of Joan's homemade elderberry wine, and then choice music for a dance around the living room. OMG I've just realised how many wonderful memories I have of my shared time with my Aunty Joan and Jacky Boy - free ticktets to centre court at Wimeldon with past champions; long walks on the coastal paths - wonderful Sunday lunches either at home or a local pub; and a special for me a whole day out travelling to and fro Egbaston for a cricket test match between England and Australia - stopping off the motorway for a snack along the way! Longtime memories for a lifetime. Thinking of my Aunty Joan and cousins at the passing of their beloved Jack and dad.
