I was so sorry to learn of the passing of Uncle Jack. My deepest condolences to Auntie Joan, Catherine, Stephen, Pauline, Sue and all the grandkids. I was so fortunate to have met Jack for the first time when I visited them in Cornwall about 20 years ago, where I got a glimpse into the adventurous and loving life of Joan and Jack. The stories of their adventures walking, making wine, and just living a full and interesting life were shared with me by my mom, Sheila, who always spoke of Jack with such respect and love. I felt lucky to get to witness them together firsthand. I loved his curiosity and sense of humor. I took my parents out to see them a few years ago and they took us for a walk along the coast in the driving wind and rain. It was so funny to see how Joan tackled that walk and Jack just talked and talked, while Joan got on away ahead of us all. I wish I had more time with him but am grateful for the visits I did have with him. I am sending your family my wishes for peace. Sincerely, Eileen
